• THE MOST PEACEFUL MAN IN THE WORLD

SYNOPSIS

After the death of her father, Martí, Raquel, the director, was in shock: his body took on a life of its own, like an automaton. Martí, a kind and reserved man fascinated by the Spanish Civil War, had been her role model. His loss triggered a profound grief, marked by overwhelming anxiety and a squint that made her see double (yes, a filmmaker who sees double).

To overcome the loss, Raquel decided to resume the project she had with her father: to build an authentic “smudge tank,” a homemade tank improvised by Civil War civilians to fight against fascism, using the materials they had at their disposal.
